One week down...

Today Zadie is one week old. I celebrated with her this morning @ 2:30 by getting up and bottle feeding her some milk courtesy of Jorene. It wasn't that much but holding Zadie in my arms while she nurished herself felt so good. Back when I worked at the AJCC Summer Camp, I was responsible for the safety of kids when we had sleepovers. I felt in control and confident. Last night that feeling returned only that her gaze into my eyes showed love and appreciation. Jorene and I will raise her to respect and value herself just as we do her.
